Spring 2026

The Spring 2026 season started on March 23 with our All Teams practice at Mt Mercy in Cedar Rapids and concluded June 8 with the Team Celebration and Awards Ceremony. In between, boys and girls from across the Corridor region ages 5 through 18 will compete against teams Iowa (and some Illinois, Nebraska, and Missouri for good measure).

Our Teams

More than 100 players took the field with Kingfisher Lacrosse this past spring, our largest group yet!

Boys Results

Great Season!

Our youth boys (10U, 12U and 14U) experienced the highs and lows of sports during Spring 2026. The 10U ran off 11 wins to one 1 loss during the regular season, taking home 2nd place at the State Tournament. The 12U boys had a tough go of it, but kept their spirits high, learned a lot, and will see improvement next year. The 14U boys took 3rd place at State which was right where they were seeded - our largest age group with a ton of new players - we look forward to their development as many move into high school.

High School Boys Excel

HS Boys secured their 4th straight Eastern Iowa Lacrosse Conference championship. A state title eludes them still, finishing 2nd to Ankeny for the second straight season. 2026 also saw the boys travel to Kansas City and Omaha to seek out challenging opponents. Those were fun, but challenging trips. The boys will be better for it.

Girls Results

The Kingfisher girls had an outstanding spring season. The small but mighty 10U girls (really an 8U team) struggled for wins but had tons of fun. They joined with Waukee at State and end up with a 3rd place finish.

The 12U defended their State title, running through the league with an undefeated record and a dominating performance at the State Tournament.

The 14U went .500 on the season, but caught fire at State, securing a spot in the championship game. They fell in the final, but are young for the division.

The High School girls remains a program in development. With just 6 girls, two of whom were injured for most of the year, three played with Ankeny for most of the season (helping to earn that program its best season in recent memory). The group came together at the end of the year to take the girls High School Championship at the State Tournament.
